Very strange thing happening... I made my torpedo's, they come out of a internal bay of an aircraft.. now, if I don't have a "Load Out Screen" before the mission, my torpedo's are armed and working 110%, but when I add a "Weapons Load Out Screen" it says I have 0 torpedo's, wont let me add them unless I select "Cheat Add anything" and I don't want to keep doing that, what did I do??? please help

Is "Loadable to hardpoint" checked in the Ordnance Parameters screen in the toolkit? Can the aircraft carry the weapon type which you made the torpedo? What weapon did you base the torpedo on?

Check the weight of the torp vs the weight rating you gave the internal bay. Check the characteristics of the internal bay, if you gave the torp an IR seeker ( for instance ) and you dont have the "IR seeker" box for the hardpoint checked it will not load when you have the weps screen.

Yes this definately sounds like a hardpoint overweight issue...

I am having a similar issue with the guns on some of the planes in my DOTJA lib. The F-86 and P-51 both use the same .50-cal machine gun set, and I have not experienced any problems with them, even on the arming screen. But with the F-84 Thunderjet, I have to avoid the arming screen, or I end up with 0 rounds for that gun. I have looked in all those little check boxes, and done everything I can think of, but no dice.

Maybe it's just an FA quirk that happens on some weapons. My advice would be to just avoid the arming screen, and (don't do this unless you have the 1.02F patch) set the weapons loadout in the mission text file.

Is the gun a "required load" for its particular hardpoint? If a weapon (such as a gun) isn't "loadable to a hardpoint" it must be checked as a "required load" for any hardpoint you assign it to in the TK.

Not sure, I will have to check it out later, since I use the computers at school for posting to the board, but I will let you know.

In any case, this is Homeboy's thread, so I may start one of my own for the gun discussion.

Perhaps its to many external loadable hardpoints. You are limited to 6 external loadable hardpoints. If you exceed this limit it can cause this type or issue, as well as no internal fuel...

CAG out...

That would be stupid, keep it all in this single thread so other readers can gain from the same information without having to read the same type of posts over and over again...

And RTFM on the FARC FA Editing Tips pages...

Figured it out! All I had to do was select 'Intenal Gun' as the hardpoint location, and my problem was solved!

Homeboy, make sure you have the right location selected for your hardpoint, its not a 'Required load', and it is 'Loadable to Hardpoint'.

Seems kind of contradictory...

But I am glad you figured it out.

In the future please try to be more specific on ALL the changes you have tried, and NOT tried.

Thanks!
