Hello!

I was a avid user of USNF'97, and yesterday purchased FA full set in Ebay, then in a SimHq

post discovered your page, and have some questions.

1-Can I add things without losing anything??

2-Exist a list or similar with the new planes and terrains, campaigns...??

3-Is possible to fly choppers?? Was thinking in Hinds, inserting troops or pounding

Mujaideens

4-Any spanish plane/skin out there??

5-Flyable campaigns for the RED side??

1- you can add a lot before losing anything, most custom LIBs ( as the mods are called ) replace as much of the duplication in FA as possible before losing any of the good stuff.

2- the descriptions of the LIBs frequently give you a very good idea of what's in them, most LIBs have too much stuff in them to name.

3- flying choppers has been done, if I may toot my own horn it hasnt been done as well ( let alone better ) than my own "kapset 3". Nearly any military chopper you can imagine is in there, armed to the teeth and ready to fly in a realistic manner. Hinds, Hips, Havocs, and Helix's not to mention Cobras Apaches Chinooks SeaKnights 500MDs and many others.

cant answer 4 or 5 accuratly except that I'm pretty sure there are some Red campaigns out there somewhere.

Thank's KAPTOR, I found some red campaigns on the net.
Another question I have, what theaters are available?? My intentions

-North Cape or Russian Far East

-Med, maybe with Israel

-Gulf War 1 and 2??

-Maybe the Aegean ( will be possible to fight with Greece against Turkey or viceversa?? )

And last one but the most important, what really is FA Future???

P.S. Can I use a Tu-95 or Tu-22 to create my onw antishipping missions using long range missiles??

FA Futures I will leave to CAG as I am only his humble servant developing most of the flight models on that project.

As to long range missles, yup I have cruise missles on my Russian bombers in Kap3. The only real limit is targeting, since the RADARs only go out to 150 miles that seems to be the limit of an air to ground system. SAMs are another thing though. In Kap3 I have the Russian Triumph SAM with a range of around 200miles :-).

Just keep poking around on the FARC for those mission scenarios, I bet most of them are there.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy the forum. :) Check out the mission page of FARC. Check out Shattered Peace, Ho's Own, and Cuban Freedom. They are from the other side flying. On the library page they are a couple of IAF libs to enjoy.

I started flying with US Navy Fighters. Many happy traps to you! :)

Thank's a lot Pappy!!

I reinstalled USNF'97 yesterday on my new rig, and it works perfectly on my dual core, 2 GB RAM, Gforce 7600 PC, but maybe a little faster, is easy to get dissoriented during turns, is the game that way and I forgot it, or is possible to slow down a little??

Lets see, the easiest way to describe FA Futures is this...

This is just a light overview...

Turning the simulation into a theater based simulation, with each major improvement based on each theater where the combat takes place...

Such as:

FAF Korea 2007 is a combat theater that occurs over the Korean Penisula from a time frame of 1995 to 2010...

There will be improved theaters based on much improved versions of all existing maps in FA now with huge improvements in all elevations (read REAL mountians here)...

Its also full upgrade of all aspects of FA...

1. Graphics are rebuilt to high resolution compressed skins.
2. New shapes are created and existing shapes are upgraded.
3. Flight Models are realeastic (to the extent allowed by the FA game engine)
4. All new terrains for summer, winter, spring, and fall have been created.
5. The ingame menus (GUI) have been upgraded from 640 x 480 resolution to 1024 x 768 resolution.
6. High resolution cockpits for all aircraft and helicopters
7. All weapons systems vastly improved with many new weapons added.

All default items have been improved or if redundant, removed from the simulation to improve game stability in single player and multiplayer...

This is not just a library set, the game AI have been changed, and the game uses an all new exe file with its own desktop icon to offset itself from default FA...

I hope this rough highlight of information has helped you.

We are close to release, with just a few nagging issues remaining...
