Excellent News! FA Futures Now Fully XP Compatible! I have been successful at tracking down the XP bugs and squashing them fully!

The XP version is now available for download at the http://VNFAWING.com website. The libraries have been fully tested and all components are now functional.

There were some necessary changes to objects, so there is now also a new Win 98 version to keep compatibility for missions in both versions

All Win 98 users will have to download the new 98 version!

I took this opportunity, over the weekend, to fully implement all of the 714 Flight Models that I plan on using... The previous version of FA Futures only had about 10% of the 714 FMs implemented.

I also changed all the aircraft landing and takeoff distances to make them as realistic as possible... All larger aircraft will take nearly the entire runway, yes the new double length runways (except the International Airports, which have exceeding LONG runways), to land, and smaller jets will now take at least half the new runway...

The 714 FMs had a few errors that I corrected, and are now even more realeastic then before. Many were over powered in the engine thrust, and I reduced them to proper levels. The aircraft still perform within manufacturers specs...

I also had to make changes in the Airbase Templates due to having to change certain object names to stay XP compliant. So ALL USERS will have to redownload the Airbase Templates zip also... It is listed under the Hot Downloads section of the http://VNFAWING.com section also.

Everything has been tested on both XP and 98 machines (desktops and laptops, just to be certain), so no problems should exist. You can now Fly Quick Combat, Individual Sorties, and use the mission builder on all maps, including the new Korea Map. Everything should be 100% working, however, if you do run into errors, please email the information to crashlogs@vnfawing.com with a full report of exactly what happened and your machine specs.

Thanks and Enjoy!

CAG out...
