Hi all, I haven't visited the board in a long while could someone give me a rough idea of what changes have taken place with FA, or Futures. Did the shapes finally get figured out?

Yes I am deep into building new shapes for just about everything in FAF.. (FA Futures) and FA-2...

So far I have been able to make all new aircraft, edit the mistakes of existing aircraft shapes, make all new vehicles, edit the mistakes of existing vehicles, and all new weapons hapes with very detailed skins on the weapons to increase realism...

Nice... The U2 looks terrific. Is the shape information public? Because I haven't found anything recent regarding that, other than older links on the FARC. I'm interested in making a model of the F-2 which I tried to do much earlier but was stuck with the F-16 problem.

You have to have a complete understanding of hex editing and decimal conversion to even begin to alter shapes.Then you have to understand the convuluted way the shape file is laid out in the SH format...

Ther are no consistencies on this... and sometimes its mind boggling even when you understand the layout...

I have to say its very complicated to say teh least and unless you are an experienced programmer I would not even attempt it.

I know one thing for certain, I dont have time to try to teach anyone else to do it...
