I played FA for a few years.....and loved it....About 1 year ago I bought a new computer that runs Windows XP....when I went to install FA...I get an error message...saying Copying files error??

I have tried running the auto install....doesn't work...

I have also tried copying the CD into a new folder on my hard drive and then install from there.....however during the copying to my hard drive...I get the same error message right when it starts to copy the "setup" part of the CD...

Any help on getting my Janes Fighters Anthology installed on my Windows XP home edition would be very appreciated...

I am not running WINXP, but there are a couple guys here that are, so as soon as one of them see's this string they may be of more help.

Thanks for that link....I have been checking around on this board...for my XP issue....BUT,

Mine seems somewhat differernt...in that I can't seem to get the game to install.....it has an "error" on install.....I understand the compatability function that comes with XP....but I can only use that once I get the game installed...

Again, any help would be appreciated...

Well....It looks like it might be an error with my CD #1 (blue CD)...because I just went and tried to install it on my old computer that runs Windows 95 and I get the same "error copy files" on the install?

Anyone have any suggestions?

Can anyone burn / copy me CD #1 and mail it to me. I will pay for it.

What type of connection do you have?

Unfortunately I only have a 56k connection....anyway I could mail you a CDRW and maybe you could burn it for me?....

FA really looks nice now....I haven't played it in about 2 years...but I see MANY changes have come along since then.....really wish my CD wasn't messed up.....Can't see a scratch or anything on it.....but it must be the CD...

I have copie's of disck one on hand and ready to go.
I have uninstalled FA, and reinstalled with each, and ran each of them.
I will gladly send one to you, if you desire.
Use the personal message feature if this suits you better to relay your addy.
I need no money, but after recieveing it, if it solves your problem you could support either ZEPHYRs site or CAGs VNFA.com site if the spirit moves you so.

looks like I might be able to use one of those metal AOL disk thingies after all .... hehehe
I believe the VNFA.COM site is NOT a free site so CAG may be the one to support if you wish.
I'm sure he doesn't need the money but it would be a nice gesture for all the work he does.
